What We Are Learning
ReadingWriting |
Students are expected to read for 30 minutes at home, every night, and to complete a reading log with a parent signature.
From now until April 15, 2016, students are working on a Local Issues Analysis Paper. Students are responsible for writing a thesis statement, conducting research, obtaining a firsthand account, opposing viewpoints, and possible actions steps. Students pick their own issue and conduct their own research. So far, students are writing about gun violence, harassment, missing children, cafeteria food, standardized testing, and many other topics.
