A Look inside our ELA Classroom..

Welcome Parents & Guardians

As your child's reading and writing teacher, I have seen students make solid growth this year. During this time apart, I'd like for students to continue practicing skills aimed at increasing their reading fluency, comprehension and written expression using different techniques.  We have been working on analyzing and responding to nonfiction text using various strategies.

I sincerely believe that teachers, parents, and students are all integral parts of one team. Together we can form strong supports for each child in order to engage them in learning while away from school.  As suggested by the NHPS District, I am asking that you ensure your child goes online to Google Classroom everyday so that they can access instructional content in reading and writing. The picture at the bottom will take students directly to the Google Classroom: "Fifth Grade ELA." Students will receive daily assignments and I will monitor their progress with the work.  Below is a link to help you learn more about Google Classroom.
